3D Printing/Prototyping
SLS- Selective Laser Sintered nylon used for end use products or tooling for short run production. Can use glass reinforcement to increase strength. Epoxy coating can further strengthen SLS parts.
FDM- Fused Deposition Modeling. Commonly used to simulate a product in abs plastic. Used for fixturing and assembly aids. End use product where aesthetic detail is not required. Works well for custom automation parts.
PolyJet- Jetted polymer cured with ultra violet light to simulate rigid plastics and rubbers. Intended for design validation and fitment verification requiring aesthetic surfaces. Simulate Overmolding a rigid plastic with a rubber.
